My name is Ed Rooth. I perform as Hekuli, an alter ego channeling interdimensional psychedelic energies into diverse forms of art.

Trained as a computer scientist with over 20 years of software experience, I fuse deep technical expertise with artistic expression, creating uniquely immersive sensory experiences.

My primary focus is real-time generative visuals, inspired by patterns found in nature and altered states of consciousness. My creative practice also spans other mediums, including generative modular synthesis, DJ-ing, and innovative software projects.

My work has been showcased in various installations and live performances.

I’m also the creator of Chromatose—the premier live-performance video synthesizer app for iPhone and iPad.

Favorite Tools: Chromatose, Touchdesigner, GLSL, Python, Davinci Resolve, Ableton, Elektron gear, Eurorack, Soundhealing instruments.

Based in Berlin
